Terms of Service

Welcome to CLAY & MUG. By using our website and purchasing our products, you are stepping into our world, a small-scale dream operated out of Apt 34, Donna, Texas. These terms are designed to ensure that both you and our small team have a clear, honest, and respectful relationship.

1. Acceptance of Terms

When you browse our store or click "Purchase," you agree to these terms. Because we are a small operation, these rules help us stay organized and ensure that every ceramic or glass piece gets the attention it deserves.

2. Accuracy of Material Information

We strive for "Material Truth." We describe our porcelain, stoneware, and terracotta as accurately as possible.

  • The "Human" Touch: Please understand that clay is a natural material. Slight variations in glaze, color, or a tiny beauty mark in the clay are not defects; they are signs that your mug was touched by fire and human hands, not a mindless machine.
  • Photography: We use natural lighting in our Texas apartment to photograph our mugs. However, the colors may look slightly different depending on your screen settings.

3. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices are in USD
  • We process payments through PayPal to ensure your security. We reserve the right to change prices as material costs for clay and glass fluctuate, but once you’ve placed an order, your price is locked in.

4. Order Cancellations

Since we start preparing your order (and getting the bubble wrap ready!) quickly, if you need to cancel, please email us at customer@clayandmug.com within 12 hours of purchase. Once a package leaves Donna, Texas, it is officially on its journey and cannot be canceled.

5. Respectful Use of Our Site

We’ve put our heart into the photos and stories on this site. Please don’t use our images or brand story for your own commercial use. We’re happy for you to share our story with friends, but please give credit to CLAY & MUG.

6. Limitation of Liability

We make sturdy mugs, but they are still earth and glass. CLAY & MUG is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from the misuse of our products (like dropping a heavy stoneware mug on your toe or using a non-microwave-safe piece incorrectly). Please check the product description for specific care instructions.

7. Changes to the Dream

As we grow from this small apartment into our future studio, our terms might evolve. We’ll always post the most current version here.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, the place where we live, work, and dream.

9. A Note on Honesty

We aren't a giant corporation. We are real people at 301 Silver Ave. If you have an issue, talk to us like a neighbor. We promise to listen and find a fair solution.
